TIme frame

Can you give me an estimated time frame from the time you meet with a trustee to declare bankruptcy to the time you would be declared bankrupt – considering prompt filing of forms etc.
Thanks

It depends on the trustee you are delaing with. It is possible, if all of the paperwork is in order, to prepare the documents necessary to file for bankruptcy or a consumer proposal in 30 minutes – we’ve done. It is more comon to wait a day or two just to make sure a person has thought the process through…

So, if for some reason you are in a hurry to file, ask the trustee(s) that you call how quickly they will process your file. Go with the one that best suits your needs…
