Can the trustee force a sale of joint property where the non bankrupt spouse does not wish to sell

Yes this is definitely possible. The trustee can get a court order for the title of the property to be severed and placed up for sale. Now I don’t do it very often, but it it fairly easy to do and definitely falls into one of the powers a trustee has.
