Scholarship income
April 15th, 2010 by Questions
I received a $10 000 fellowship for a university program prior to declaring bankruptcy that is paid in 3 installments, two of which occur during the bankruptcy. Are these subsequent installments counted as monthly income subject to surplus, or as a pre-bankruptcy income entitlement. My non-fellowship income is below the superintendents standard

Any monies received during the term of bankruptcy are considered income and subject to the surplus income provisions. In this example it is the date this money is received that is important, not the date you became aware of it.
