Examination under Oath
October 20th, 2009 by Questions
I expect to be discharged in December. So far I have fulfilled all my duties and my trustee has applied for an absolute discharge sending a report to Superintendent Office. Today, I got a Notice of Examination before the Official Receiver, my question is what would be a reason for such examination?

This is a meeting that is designed so that the Superintendnet of Bankruptcy can follow up on everyone involved in the insolvency process, including both you and your trustee. IT is a very simple meeting, it is typically selected on a random basis, you will simply attend at the Superintendent’s office, they will swear you in under oath and then ask you a standard set of questions. It is really quite a straightforward meeting.
