Spousal Filing

If husband and wife are both filing for bankruptcy, does that entitle each to the exemptions? (ie one vehicle exemption each and so forth.) Is there any tecnicalities to be aware of?

Certainly – in Ontario you may each keep a motor vehicle worth up to $5,650, furnishings worth $11,300, personal property worth $5,650 and tools of the trade (things used to generate income) worth up to $11,300.
Ask your trustee to go over this in detail BEFORE you file.
