If one is has no equity in their house but wants to keep the home. Can the outstanding property taxes on the property be discharged under bankruptcy?

, A licensed trustee said:

No, property tax arrears cannot be dealt with by bankruptcy. In Ontario, if you fall three years in arrears with your property taxes the property may be seized by the municipality and sold to recover the taxes. Bankruptcy cannot stop this process.
