Supplementary credit card

Just wondering how soon will the creditors come after my spouse, he is a supplementary card holder and never signed anything or used the card. What options will we have, and who can I contact to help with this. I filed for bankruptcy 2 weeks ago. My trustee said to ask them for the contact he signed but from reading this doesn`t seem proof enough. Any suggestions. Thank you.

If/when the creditors come after your spouse, you’ve got to decide whether or not to simply repay the debt or put up a fight. If you decide to fight it then I suggest you send the creditor(s) a registered letter instructing them to proceed to Court. In Court they wil have to provide positive proof that your spouse is indebted to them. If they cannot provide positive proof then you won’t have to pay. If they can provide the proof then you will have to pay, plus the legal costs of the hearing.

Depending on the size of the debt, it may be easier (and safer) to simpy repay it…
