How much debt DO I have?

I`ve got so many creditors calling and harrassing me these days. I`m considering filing for bankruptcy after I received a letter in the mail regarding an old savings account, from a bank where I had that I never closed, saying they were forced to freeze my account because of a debt collector. They even photo-copied a letter from the debtor saying they had to freeze my account immediately. It`s only a matter of time before they find my actual checking account and freeze that one too. My question is, I know that when I decided to file, I need to give them all my debts. Problem is, I`ve ignored so many and haven`t paid in such a long time, I can`t remember exactly how many, how much and who I still owe. How can I go about finding out ALL of my debt?

The best thing to do is to pull a copy of your credit history report from either Equifax or TransUnion. This likely won’t help with amounts of debts, but at least it will have notations from the major creditors. While this isn’t perfect, it is the best way to try and get an idea of where you sit.
