How Long?

February 29th, 2008 by Questions

I was nailed by CRA this week for past taxes. I delayed and put them off as long as I could. They have now hit me with over $75,000 in back payments. This week they garnished my paycheck and froze my bank account.

The trustee I need to see is not back for a week to meet with.

Once I see the trustee and start the process how fast can the bankruptcy filing happen so that the garnishment stops and the account is freed up?

Also, when CRA freezes or seizes my bank account do they actually remove the money that is in there or will it be there when the garnishment is removed?

Thta’s up to you and your trustee – I know that if you have all of the required information with you we can file bankruptcy on your behalf in a couple of hours… Find out what your trustee needs and make sure you give it to them as quickly as possible and you should be able to file immediately.
