I`m self employed. When I filed for bankruptcy several months ago I was told my taxes would be covered. Now I`m told I have to pay CPP contributions. Can you advice?

You are correct that your taxes up to the date you filed bankruptcy will be covered (your pre bankruptcy return and anything previous). But CPP on self employed earnings is calculated at the end of the year on your post bankruptcy return and is something you are responsible for.
