aeroplan miles

February 1st, 2008 by Questions

A couple of months ago I used my aeroplan miles to purchase a flight this upcoming summer. I am now currently unable to work due to illness. If I were to file for bankruptcy, will I be forced to forfeit this flight?

It is possible that they may requrie you to forfeit this fligth, but not entirely likely. However, when you go into discuss things with a local trustee you will need to disclose this as it is a non-exempt asset and you may be requried to pay some money into your bankruptcy estate inorder to keep this flight.
