Child tax benefit and student loan default

can my child tax benefit be taken to pay for defaulted student loans? I know that my GST and income tax returns can be.

I have never heard of this happening to anyone – the CTB is designed to be a social benefit for your children and as such it isn’t subject to the same seizure as tax refunds and GST.
