This actually happens in 1 of 25 bankruptcies. If you refuse to make the required payments then at some point, your trustee will simply close your file. That means your creditors have the right to pursue you (again)- you will no longer be protected by the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
The bankruptcy doesn’t “go away”, it will still be on your record and you can’t file again until the first one has been properly completed.
The best advice I can give you: if you file for bankruptcy then complete the procedure as required. If you don’t the only person you will be hurting is yourself – at some point in the future having an undischarged bankruptcy is going to cause you problems and you won’t be able to fix them quicklywhen they do…
