Activating credit card

July 7th, 2006 by Questions

I received a credit card just before I declared bankruptcy. I did not activate this card. I now have my absolute discharge. Can I now activate this card?

, A licensed trustee said:

When you go bankrupt you are required to surrdender all credit cards to the trustee, whether they are active or not. Since your bankruptcy is now finished, I would suggest you contact the credit card company and re-apply for the card; it will then be their decision whether or not they will allow you to activate the credit card.
