Will a public servant lose their job if they file for a consumer proposal or bankruptcy? They do not work with money in any way.

Typically filing a bankruptcy or proposal has no effect on an individual’s employment. However, from time-to-time we see issues arise, but most commonly this is due to the requirement of being bonded in your position. It has also caused issues when an individual filing belongs to a professional association that restricts them from practicing while in a bankruptcy or proposal process.
