how to remove a writ from real estate
March 14th, 2009 by Questions
If a writ is placed, by the sheriff, onto my real estate, my share of the property, I own 1/3. How can I successfully remove this writ from it? Whom do I contact for such matters?

You need to discuss this with a lawyer. But likely to remove the writ you will need to deal with the debt behind the writ. Whether this be by paying the debt in full, filing a bankruptcy or some other means, if the debt is not dealt with it the writ will likely remain on your 1/3 of the property.
