I have lots of debt and now I have lost my job. I will go on E.I. I was wondering if the creditors can garnishee my E.I. payments?

In most provinces EI cannot be garnisheed directly from the source, but what can happen is that your creditors can garnishee a bank account. When they garnishee a bank account it makes no difference where the money has come from, it is at risk.
