I owe approx 95,000.00 in credit card and lines of credit. I have NOT missed a payment on any of them so far. My husband is 65 and I am 58 and are going to be living on a fixed income very soon. We cannot pay back all we owe. The bills are not decreasing with the payments we make. Where do I start. My credit is still excellent, but soon will not be able to handle these, seems we are only paying the interest.

Direction of this sort is difficult to provide without more information about your current situation. However, the fact that retirement is looming and the debt is as significant as it is, you would likely be best to contact a local trustee and discuss what options exist. The trustee will first review your current situation and then walk you through the options to deal with this debt so that hopefully you will be able to be debt free by the time retirement begins.
