Credir Counselling

Unfortunatly I am going to go for bankruptcy and in the meantime I am moving to USA. my question is , do I have to be personaly present for credit counselling session? Is there any other option like phone counselling or on line counselling ?
My other question is , will filling bankruptcy in Canada will effect my credit in USA?

Your trustee will be able to get permission from the Superintendent of Bankruptcy to conduct these counseling sessions via telephone. So simply discuss that with the local trustee you are going to use.

As for impact on your US credit, technically your US credit rating is different from your Canadian one, but there is nothing preventing Creditors in the US from looking at a Canadian credit rating when making lending decisions.
