I owe $57,000 in credit card debt. We have been bankrupt twice before. Can I file a consumer proposal?

You would definately be a candidate to file a consumer proposal. In fact, where people have multiple bankruptcies, I often recommend the filing of a consumer proposal as it allows you to avoid many of the down sides associated with a second or a third bankruptcy. So I would recommend you contact a local trustee to determine if a proposal would be feasible based on the rest of your situation.
