Can i keep banking and using the bank’s investment trading affiliate/susidiary after doing a consumer proposal. (The bank is a creditor)
In short I do not want the bank, or its investment affiliate interefering with my, subsequent securities accounts or banking needs….

In my opinion, this is a bad idea. All of the major banks have investment arms now so you’d be better off switching. If you continue to use a bank that is a creditor you should expect them to freeze your accounts – that is, they will allow deposits, but not withdrawals.

We advise all of our clients to switch to a bank they are not indebted too BEFORE they file bankruptcy or a proposal.
