I would like to know what would happen to my rrsp if i decided to go for consumer proposal? Do i need to continue paying for it?

In a consumer proposal your RRSP’s will remain intact. When dealing with a consumer proposal there is no vesting of assets like with a bankruptcy. This doesn’t mean they don’t have an indirect impact on things, they do. Any realizable value must be considered when crafting the terms of the proposal, but there is no direct impact on these funds.
