Consumer Proposal Question

January 9th, 2012 by Questions

My husband co-signed a loan for me (join) on December18 because I was expected to be back to work full time by new year. (currently off on disability) just found out that I am not returning to work for full time for several months. I had no choice but to file consumer proposal. What will happen now??

If your husband co-signed on this loan and you have filed a consumer proposal then you husband will be fully responsible for the debt. The consumer proposal will release you from that debt, but your proposal cannot release anyone but you. So your husband is now fully responsible that this debt be paid in full.
