proposal other province

December 5th, 2011 by Questions

I presently live in Quebec and moving to another province in the new year, can I do a proposal in the other province or should I make a proposal before I leave Quebec.

If you owe a lot of “local” people in Quebec then you should file before you move – if you owe a lot of national companies then you should wait until after you move to file. The reason is simple enough – if you owe local people then you want to make it easy for them to deal with your trustee (that way they are more likely to agree to your proposal). If you owe national companies then by waiting until after you move you’ll make things easier on you…
