Can you switch from consumer proposal to bankruptcy and vice versa?

Yes. If you have already filed for bankruptcy and later decide that you want to file a consumer proposal you may. Once your proposal is accepted by yoru creditors and approved by the Court then your bankruptcy is annulled (cancelled).
If you have filed a consumer proposal already, you have the right to file for bankruptcy at any time and that will effectively cancel your proposal.
Neither of these scenarios is common, but they do happen. If you havenm’t filed yet then discuss your concerns with your trustee BEFORE you file. They should be able to help you make an informed decision abotu which route to take.
