I have an overdraft at the BMO .I pay it off every month. My question is will banks continue to offer overdrafts if you are on a consumer proposal?I do have a credit card at BMO that I would be filing a proposal for.Would it be wiser to open a bank acct elsewhee?

It is definately wiser to open a new account at an institution you owe money to. You also should make sure that this account doesn’t have an overdraft on it, or you will likely have to list that overdraft as a debt in the consumer proposal and potentially have to open yet another bank account.
