i have about 19000 in unsecure debt and I recently got married will doing a consumer proposal affect his credit ?

As long as your husband is not listed jointly on any of your debts, then your filing a consumer proposal will not have any impact on his credit.
Now the amount you have to offer may vary somewhat as the presence of a spouse can impact the cost of bankruptcy, which indirectly impacts the amount that must be offered in the consumer proposal, but it will likely be a nominal difference.
