If i file a consumer proposal, do i have to make payments on my student loan during this period, or do they resume after?

If you file a consumer proposal and have student loans that are not released by the filing of the consumer proposal (i.e. you have not been out of school for greater than the last 7 years) the rights of Student Loans to collect are stayed, just like all of your other unsecured creditors. Then upon the completion of the consumer proposal then your payments will resume.
