Mortgage

I am feeling very insecure about having to file or even consider a consumer proposal, we bought our first house 2 years ago the bank that holds our mortgage also holds the visa and 2 loans, should or would there be a problem renewing our mortgage, we have never ever missed a mortgage payment, please advise

A licensed trustee said...

It is illegal for a bank or othger finance company to alter the terms of your mortgage simply because you have filed a consumer proposal or bankruptcy. As long as you do not have payment problems in the future you should not have any issues renewing your mortgage.
