mortgage after consumer proposal

July 21st, 2009 by Questions

Hi,
We have filed for Consumer Proposal on 2007 and paid everything and discharged on December 2008.
We are working to re-establih our credit now, we have a secured visa and a master card that we are using and paying in full every month.
We have good jobs and good money now and we want to buy a house. How long after we`ve been discharged we can get approved for a mortgage?
Thanks,
Mariana

There is no set rule as so many things are considered when you apply for a mortgage.

The best thing to do is to ask these questions of your bank or potentially a mortgage broker.
