fees of a consumer proposal
January 5th, 2009 by Questions
If my spouse and I file for a division 1 proposal and it is not acceptaed and we are then automatically bankrupted-how are the fees for the consumer proposal paid for. Then would we have to pay extra trustees fees for the bankruptcy. Are both fees put together????

This depends on the trustee you are using. One common practice is that the first two payments in the Div I Proposal are used to cover the costs of putting the proposal together and then the Bankruptcy has separate fees that begin being paid upon the rejection of the Div I Proposal and commencement of the bankruptcy.
