Certainly – they are entitled to vote just like any other creditor. Keep in mind the 7 year rule – you need to have been out of school for at least 7 years in order for a consumer proposal to discharge student loans, other than that they are no different than say a credit card or income taxes. All of these things may be included in a consumer proposal.
