Does Bankruptcy eliminate money owed to the government ?

I owe some money to the government as well as creditors, does bankruptcy eliminate money due to the government?

There is a short list of debts that are not cleared by bankruptcy. As long as your debt to the government is not the result of fraud or student loans (with certain conditions), that along with your other creditors can be cleared or discharged through a bankruptcy. It would be a good idea to it down with a local trustee to talk about the specifics of your debt and how it would be dealt with.
