Income during bankruptcy

June 6th, 2013 by Questions

I have been bankrupt for approximately 6 months and received disability benefits during that time. I now am returning back to work but as a result will have only approximately 700.00 in June for earnings and my disability benefits for June do not come in until early July. Thus my income will include 2 pay periods and my June disabilty benefits top up. Can I declare these late for June as this is when the income is for?

You need to declare the income in the month it was received. But discuss it with your trustee, likely they base your bankruptcy payments on your average income, so you won’t see any major change.
