If my spouse declares bankruptcy and we have joint loans together, do I have to declare bankruptcy to?

No, you do not, BUT you will likley be held responsible to repay the jont debts in full once your spouse files for bankruptcy. If you can’t afford to do that then you mayhave to consider a consumer proposal or perhaps bankruptcy yourself to deal with problem.
