I am recently divorced with an 8yr old and a 16 yr old. We are renting a home to share costs with a friend and I am wondering how much monthly I am able to make in bankruptcybefore I have a surplus.

The 2010 surplus income threshold set by the government for a household of 3 is a net income of $3031.00 per month. If you make above this figure you would technically have Surplus Income.
