Finding the debt.

February 14th, 2012 by Questions

I’ve been so good at running away from my debts that I don’t know where to begin to hunt them down. Apart from my debts from TD (Visa and Line of Credit) all my other debts have went into 3rd party collections. All debts are from 2007 or before.

I simply don’t know where to start looking. Contacting each company just results in being told that my account was sent to collections.

Would submitting my credit chart from Equifax be enough for my Trustee or do I need to figure out a way to hunt all of these down.

Thanks so much. Your site is incredibly helpful!

You are required to provide your trustee with the best list you can prepare of the people that you owe money to. If you’ve lost track then starting with a copy of your credit report is a good start, but your credit report may not list all of your debts. Do the best that you can – if a creditor is not listed in your bankruptcy then they will not be notifeid about it and they might try and collect form you some time in the future.
