If all your debts are in your name and your husband hasn’t signed on any of these loans or credit cards, then there will be no need for him to file for bankruptcy. The only time a bankruptcy would be necessary for the both of you is if your wife was associated with the debts.
The only thing I suggest you are catious of is with supplementary credit cards. If your wife has signed on the back of any supplementary credit cards you might want to review the original credit card application you signed, by signing the back of the card they may become partially liable for a portion of that account.
