employment and bankruptcy

November 4th, 2010 by Questions

Hello,

I presently have been working at the same place for 6 years. If I do decide to file for Bankruptcy, can that affect my job in any way?

Thank you

In most instances the filing of a bankruptcy has no impact on your employment. Certain professional bodies (i.e. CGA, CMA, Law Society etc.) have rules that can limit your ability to practice if there is a A HREF=”https://www.bankruptcy-canada.ca/whatIsBankruptcy.htm”>bankruptcy, but otherwise the impact on employment oppertunities is relatively minor.
