Hello, I am a Credit Manager and wanted to know if I can request a Creditor`s list from a Licensed Insolvency Trustee eventhough the Company I work for is not a creditor of the bankrupt ? Thanks.

That being said, we’ve never been asked this question before, so…

Any interested party has the right to ask for a copy of the basic creditor’s package that is prepared at the outset of a bankruptcy file. All you have to do is call and ask for it.

For the other folks reading this site that may be worried about people calling up and asking for their bankruptcy documents if/after they file – in the 20,000+ cases that our firm has handled the only non-creditors to ever ask for these documents were all ex-spouses fighting for support in Family Court. I am not aware of any business or other person ever requesting these documents. I am curious why the person that posted this question would want them…
