welfare claim for training purposes

April 17th, 2009 by Questions

I have been self employed as a taxi driver. I am starting my bankruptcy process. I want to change career after my bankruptcy process. I approached employment canada for government sponsored training. I was told I have to be on welfare to qualify for training. DoI qualify for welfare while on bankruptcy process??

A bankruptcy would not have any impact on your ability to apply for welfare or any other forms of social assistance.
