Husband filing for bankruptcy

My husband if filing for bankruptcy as we speak. The debt is in all of his name, which equals to approx. 50,000.00. Do i have to file as well since nothing is in my name? Will they take my income into account seeing how i have my own debt to pay? Seeing how he is the only one filing what about our household items etc? Pls help

If none of the debts arein your name then you have no need to file a bankruptcy. However, when they calculate the cost of your husbands bankruptcy your income needs to be disclosed or he may not be eligible for discharge. The calcuation of cost of bankruptcy begins by looking at household income and then factors out your husbands percentage of the household income.
