My Mother co-signed for furniture for me, but she recently paid off that loan just to get rid of it. I now pay her monthly. Will me filing bankruptcy affect her rating still and if not, will she need to know about it?

If you mother paid off the joint loan then you filing bankruptcy will not affect her credit. Technically speaking if you file bankruptcy you should be listing your mother as one of the debts and are not able to make any payments to her until you are discharged from bankruptcy.
