What do I do ? What can I do ?

January 30th, 2007 by Questions

I am drowning in debts, I tried to get out but I can\’t. I work full time, pay rent and currently drive over 1 hr. to work. I have a car which I make payments on, but the loan is co signed by my grandmother, I do not want to wreck her credit rateing and I don\’t want for her to lose the car, I want to make the payments on it. What can I do because I have so many outstanding bills and creditors after me, the only thing I have up to date are the car payments as it is my only way to get to work as I live out in the country 1 hour away from work.
I don\’t want to lose the car though as I say my grandmother signed for me for the loan.

Thank You

I am not “blowing you off”, but the tone of your question suggests to me that you should use the links on our site to find a trustee in your area and go and speak to them.

It is up to the lender to decide whether or not they will allow you to keep making payments on your car – many do, a few do not. Your trustee can explain to you the policies where you live.

I know it can be a bit intimidating, actually contacting and speaking to somoene in person, but I think that’s the step you need to take.

Good luck sorting things out.
