Senior citizens

November 2nd, 2005 by Questions

I have acquired significant credit card over the years and I face a situation where I cannot pay. Collection agencies call me from morning to evening .I have 6 different credit cards that I am in default . The six collection agencies are ruining my life. I always answer and tell them I simply do not have any money to pay . Calling me everyday doesn’t change my situation. I receive almost a 100 calls a week from these people. I am 70 years old and will never work again. My health is poor and this only aggravates it.I would like to see a trustee but I Know I can’t go bankrupt.I know that this is how they make their money and I cannot even pay 20 dollars a month.I don’t expect a trustee to work with me for nothing. If I could go bankrupt I would not be able to attend counselling sessions that it says i have to do. My health is to poor to attend any kind of meetings.

The choice really becomes putting up with the telephone calls or contacting a trustee. Perhaps special arrangements can be made for the counseling sessions, but you would have to find a way for the trustee’s fees to be paid. You may be surprised how clearing up your current debts may free up some income that you would be able to direct towards the trustee, but you will never know until you fully explore your alternatives.
