Debt management program

October 30th, 2005 by Questions

I have been in a debt management program for two years . I have approx 3 years to go. Based on my income I pay 1200 a month. I had 60,000 in debt and now have paid approx 20,000. For the past 5 years I have been working 7 days a week /12hr days.I work 80-85 hours a week and receive time and a half after 45 hours. The company has decided to end overtime in december . I will now be paid for a 40 hr week. My net income will be reduced from 3600/month to 1600/month.I will not be able to pay 1200 month to the counselling service. Can my counselling service help me with bankruptcy or a proposal or do I need to go through a Licensed Insolvency Trustee

Bankruptcies and consumer proposals must be done through a trustee. Your counselling agency can probably refer you to a trustee, or you can use the link on the left hand side of the page to contact a trustee for further information.
