Can I keep my inheritance if I receive it after a year of bankruptcy?

It is not a question of when you receive an inheritance – it is a question of whether or not the person that died did so while you were an undischarged bankrupt. If you were still in bankruptcy when they died then you are required to notify your trustee and any money you may be expected to receive will be paid to your trustee for the benefit of your creditors. If the person died after your bankruptcy was complete then the money is yours to keep…
