Conditional Discharge

March 13th, 2009 by Questions

I am on a conditional discharge after filing for bankruptcy for the first time. I have a suspension for 3 months and amount owing to the trustee that I have to pay monthly for 24 months. If somebody asks me if I`ve been discharged or not, when can I legally say that I`ve been discharged? Is it the court date, is it after the 3 month suspension, or is it after I`ve paid the trustee off?

Until you have finished the conditions of the Order you are not discharged, you are still in bankruptcy. It is when all the conditions of the Order are met that you will be send a Certificate of Discharge.
