October 14th, 2008 by Questions

What happens if during bankruptcy, a will, in which one is too inhertit a small bit of money, is being appealed by other members of the family. If the appeal takes longer then the durtion of the bankruptcy does it affect the outcome of how much the trustee is given?

In this situation the trustee would likely communicate interest of the bankruptcy estate with the lawyer’s involved and not close his file until the issue has been resolved.

This means you could be discharged, but the trustee will not be able to do a final distribution until the estate realizes the monies in question.
