paying family back after discharge
February 4th, 2008 by Questions
I went bankrupt in 2006 and was discharged last year. I am now in a better financial position and have started to pay back family members who lent me a lot of money prior to my bankruptcy. Could I get in trouble for doing this, now that I`m discharged?

Nope – you have the right to repay any of your creditors once you hav ebeen discharged. The bankruptcy made it so that none of your crediotrs could force you to repay them – if you want to and are able then go ahead.
For other folks reading this – the important fact hee is that this person has already been discharged – you cannot repay your family until after your bankruptcy has been completed.
